Starting a new career after menopause

new career

Do you love your job?

If the answer is ‘yes’ then, sadly, you’re in the minority as just 17% of people in the UK are truly happy in their work. Given that we spend so much of our lives at work, surely it should be about more than just earning a living.

So many of us dream about taking a leap of faith, trying a new career and doing something new and extraordinary; taking control of our own destiny and being our own boss. So how can you make this dream a reality?

Time For a New Career

As someone who has taken that leap, I’m now on a mission to help other women to jump too. I want to give them the knowledge, power and confidence to take control of their lives and do something they feel passionate about. If you enjoy your job then you’ll never feel like it’s ‘work’ again and that is a fantastic feeling. I’m 59, an ex-teacher and I can honestly say I wake up each morning full of excitement, energy and a genuine desire to’ go to work’.

That’s why I’m looking for wonderful women, in the prime of their lives, to join my team of MenoLeaders to run MenoClasses in workplace and community settings. You can offer support through topic-led discussions each week along with exercises for women who know they need to stay active but hate the gym. You can help others to take control and take action to ensure a healthier happier time through perimenopause, menopause and beyond.

I want to give you the confidence to step out of your comfort zone and realise that you too can be your own boss, work the hours you choose, help others and enjoy a really exciting adventure with rewards aplenty. We understand that if you’ve spent your life as an employee, then becoming self-employed is a huge step. It’s not for everyone; you do have to be proactive, positive, enthusiastic and willing to learn.

What it Takes to be a MenoLeader

Here’s a checklist of the qualities you need to become a successful MenoLeader:

  • Be passionate about helping others
  • Be a good listener
  • Have empathy
  • Enjoy dancing (you don’t have to be a disco queen, but a good sense of rhythm helps)
  • Believe in the power of exercise to improve health and wellbeing

If this sounds like you, then we can give you all the skills and knowledge you need. We will also give you the support, equipment and marketing to get you up and running.

Take the first step by requesting our no-obligation information pack to see what it involves, what your earning potential is and how you can become one of our trailblazers by joining our team of MenoSisters; what have you got to lose..?
